1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using LumenGEO at lumengeo.co (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to all Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access the Service. By using LumenGEO, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of Service

LumenGEO provides tools to analyze and improve your brand's visibility in AI-generated search results (Generative Engine Optimization). Services include:

  • Free GEO Audit — a one-time analysis of your domain's current AI citation rate.
  • GEO Playbook — a one-time purchase providing a structured optimization guide (digital delivery, no physical product).
  • Dashboard Subscription — ongoing citation monitoring, competitor analysis, keyword tracking, and alert emails (monthly or annual subscription).

We rely on third-party data sources (including DataForSEO) to generate citation metrics. Citation data reflects a statistical sample of AI responses and is not guaranteed to be exhaustive or real-time.

3. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use LumenGEO to:

  • Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights.
  • Analyze domains you do not own or have authorization to analyze.
  • Abuse the free audit system (bulk automated submissions, fake email addresses, or circumventing rate limits).
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract our underlying data, algorithms, or API responses.
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute our data or outputs without written permission.
  • Introduce malware, conduct denial-of-service attacks, or otherwise harm the Service or its users.
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when using the Service.

Violation of this policy may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

4. Accounts & Registration

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@lumengeo.co if you suspect unauthorized access.

You may not share your account with others. Subscription access is for one user/organization.

5. Billing, Refunds & Cancellation

5.1 Billing

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual cycle. Payments are processed by Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the selected plan.

5.2 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

If you are not satisfied with your subscription for any reason, contact us within 30 days of your initial purchase and we will issue a full refund. This guarantee applies once per customer and does not apply to renewals.

Refunds for the GEO Playbook (one-time purchase) are available within 30 days of purchase.

5.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain full access until then. We do not provide prorated refunds for mid-cycle cancellations (except under the 30-day guarantee).

5.4 Price Changes

We will provide at least 30 days' notice of price changes via email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

6. Data Ownership & License

Your data: You retain ownership of any data you provide to LumenGEO, including domain names, keywords, and audit results generated from your inputs.

License to us: You grant LumenGEO a limited, non-exclusive license to process your data to provide the Service, including storing results, generating reports, and sending email notifications.

Aggregated data: We may use anonymized, aggregated data (e.g., “average GEO score by industry”) to improve the Service and publish benchmarks. This data cannot identify you.

LumenGEO content: The Service, its software, scoring algorithms, playbook content, and all associated intellectual property are owned by LumenGEO and protected by copyright law. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

7. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible. We are not liable for downtime caused by third-party infrastructure (Vercel, Supabase, Stripe, DataForSEO) or events beyond our reasonable control.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service with reasonable notice. Significant feature removals for paid subscribers will be accompanied by a proportional account credit or refund.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that citation data is accurate, complete, or current. AI search engines change their behavior continuously; GEO scores reflect conditions at the time of measurement.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LUMENGEO AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF REVENUE, LOSS OF BUSINESS, LOSS OF DATA, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) $100 USD.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limitations, so the above may not apply to you in full.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LumenGEO, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, except where your local consumer protection laws require otherwise.

Before initiating legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at support@lumengeo.co so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for violations of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Account deletion is subject to our data retention policy described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Miscellaneous

  • Entire agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and LumenGEO.
  • Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
  • Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision shall not constitute a waiver of future enforcement.
  • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them in connection with a merger or acquisition with notice to you.
